About WAMMToday

WAMMToday.    The Blog of the WAMM Media Committee

A project of the WAMM Media Committee, this blog welcomes postings and comments related to the WAMM Mission Statement:

Who We Are:  Women Against Military Madness is a nonviolent, feminist organization that works in solidarity with others to create a system of social equality, self-determination and justice through education, action and the empowerment of women. WAMM’s purpose is to dismantle systems of militarism, economic exploitation and global oppression.  WAMM is hundreds of women and men empowered to make social change through volunteer activism!

WAMM is hundreds of women and men empowered to make social change through volunteer activism!   With 2100 member households, we are an active justice and peace organization, living our feminist principals by using a non-hierarchical organizational structure.  We program from the grassroots, allowing activists to form committees and act on issues based on their own passions.

WAMMToday is not just for WAMM members. We particularly welcome original postings and writings, but all writings, videos, and photos are welcome.

The contents of WAMMToday do not necessarily reflect the opinions of WAMM and/or the WAMM Media Committee.

Would you like to receive cross-posts from my blog http://www.otherjones.com. After five years, I was recently banned from Daily Kos (which ran my article on Iceland ‘Why Iceland Isn’t in the News’, with its many mistakes, but a gist that went round the world).

I was banned for posting information on Iran, the subtext being an accusation of anti-Semitism.

I hope to collaborate on a documentary on the Iceland Revolution and its aftermath with Richard Lakin.

    In solidarity,

    Deena Stryker
